Privacy policy

This policy explains what data GOW Laufey Wiki ("we", "this site") collects and why, in plain terms: Google Analytics is active on this site, advertising is not yet served, and this page says exactly what each does and where you can take your data.

What we collect

• Analytics — Google Analytics (GA4) is enabled. Google's analytics cookies measure usage: pages viewed, approximate region, device and browser, and referral source. This tells us which guides are useful so we can improve them. Google processes this data under its own partnership terms; we don't use it to build personally identifying profiles, and you can block or delete these cookies in your browser at any time without losing access to any content.
• No accounts. This site has no logins, no comments and no newsletter — there is nothing to register and no personal data stored by us.
• Local storage. Any preference (such as remembering a dismissed notice) is kept in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device.

Advertising disclosure

We intend to support this site through Google AdSense. If and when ads are served:

• Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other websites.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings.
• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on someone's prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Until ads are activated, no advertising script runs on this site. We do not and will not use redirecting, auto-playing or pop-under ad formats.

Consent and EEA / UK visitors

Current status: no consent management platform (CMP) is deployed yet, and no personalized advertising is served to visitors from the EEA or the UK. Before personalized advertising is ever enabled for those regions, we will first implement a Google-certified consent management platform that collects consent for analytics and ad cookies as required by Google's EU user consent policy, and this page will be updated to describe it.

Your data, your requests

To ask what data a visit has generated, or to request correction or deletion of anything associated with you, email us via the contact page — the same address handles privacy requests, and we respond within three business days.

Essential cookies: none required for browsing. Optional cookies: Google Analytics (active now) and advertising (future, only after the consent setup described above). Both are disclosed here and can be blocked in your browser without losing access to any content.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the updated date above changes with it. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance.
